photoshop elements 6

hi gang, i've a copy of version 6. when it doesn't crash,it's great fun. are any of you having the program(i'm running XP) freez or a message telling you an error has occured ,etc and the program must shut down? I'm sure you are,i just can't immagine putting this stuff out for sale,(mine was a gift)and having it crashing on all different typs of systems and with basically no place to go. I'm no computer-techno guy who loves crawling around the registry files etc. I'd love to know how many owners are stuck in limbo with this software. I would not be surprised to find that it's thousands.Sorry,the rant just makes me feel better,but i bet a lot of you have similiar problems. Well I'll keep going back to it,re-installing,checking the troubleshoot forums,and trying to get some response from Adobe,LOL

There are reports there of instability. I don't know if there's anything that will help you track down your problem, but it seems you are not alone!

Personally, I use Paint Shop Pro version 9 for most of my photo editing work, so I have no real experience with Elements 6 (though I do have an earlier version somewhere on my PC!). Later versions of Paint Shop Pro (after Corel bought out the original developer JASC and released version X) seem to come in for some criticism too.
