I have Canon's Digital Photo Pro v 3.4.1.2. I notice that some thumbnail images are really fuzzy and others really sharp, yet when I double-click on the images, they are all tack sharp. The thumbnails are the same size and it does not appear to be a difference between JPG and RAW images. Any clue as to why some thumbnail images display so poorly, depsite the fact that the actuall image is otherwise sharp?
Thanks, Dave

Nope. But I've noticed that too.
In general I find the JPEG thumbnails aren't as sharp as the RAW thumbnails.
I've never been bothered by it since the thumbnails aren't actually used for anything and when the images are opened both RAW and JPEG look fine.

Hi, this is my first posting after registering and I hope I can be of some help. I had the same problem, RAW thumbnails were sharp, JPEG were not. When in DPP thumbnails there is a setting to correct this. I don't remember exactly what it is, but it is not hard to find near upper left corner of the screen (file, view, etc. boxes-I don't remember which of them it was). Go through those settings and you will come accross a box labeled "all thumbnails sharp" or something like that. Check that box, exit DPP, and all thumbnails should be sharp when you reopen DPP. Hope that helps. OK, I WENT BACK AND CHECKED: It is, Tools>Preferences>General settings>All thumbnails high quality.
