Canon 5d mark II

Hi all,

I have just purchased a 5D Mark II after many years with a 20D.     I have heard that there is a way from menu to enhance the focus capabilities of each of my lenses, and that the camera will remember each "tweek" for each lense.    Is that true, and if so where, and how, in menu does one do such a thing?

I believe it's explained in detail in the manual on page 181.

Via custom Function III-8 you can adjust the AF point by +/- 20 "units". Take shots at 0, +/-5, +/-10, +/-15 and +/-20 and see which gives best focus. Then you can do it again near the best focus point in steps of +/- 1 unit.

The 5DMk2 manual only provides a starting point for micro-focus adjustment. The procedure involves going several steps beyond. Canon USA Tech spokesperson, Chuck Westfall has offered an outline and remarks there is no official method.
