Hello, I am interested in the techniques of Keith Lautit in which he combines T/S lens with a video camera to make surreal videos (best viewed on Vimeo, though a poorer quality can be seen on YouTube; search for Bathtub IV for starters). Are there T/S lenses that will couple with video cameras, or must modifications be made? Has anyone on these forums tried this? Any information on this photographic art form would be appreciated.

Well, you can use a Canon T/S lens on an EOS 5D MkII or a Digital Rebel T1i to shoot video. That's probably the easy (and with the T1i, least expensive) way to do it. The Canon XL2 video camera will also mount the Canon T/S lenses via an adapter if you want all the video bells and whistles. For a minimum price kit you could use the Lensbaby tilt lens with the T1i

Those cameras didn't come to mind since I assumed he used a regular video camera because of the long length of the videos. I will look into this further.

Those cameras didn't come to mind since I assumed he used a regular video camera because of the long length of the videos. I guess he could have 'spliced' several shorter sessions. I will look into this further.
