Dear all,
I just changed my EOS 450D to 500D yesterday (I am still in time to return the 450D) for the HD video feature in 500D.
However, I ran into the picture quality problems with 500D. I have just taken a few shots and I found that there is a quite significant overexposure problem.
With 450D there was also such an issue, but not that often.
I use the standard kit lens. (EF-S 18-55mm IS) is it a problem of lens or 500D? b.t.w. I've had the same lens with 450D.
It just seems that 500D has its very own understanding of exposure. And often if I just shift the focus of the image a little bit I've got a complete different exposure.
I don't know how to correct the overexposure.
Here are two photos taken in exact same lighting conditions. With slight shift in the x-axis, I've got very different exposure.
