Hello, Maybe, somebody can help me... I bought a brand new Canon eos 5D Mark II camera 2 weeks ago and worked fine. Now, I bought a new 32GB Sandisk card and I can't download the pictures, but neither from the other card anymore. I tried with card reader and with the Canon Eos Utility software, but my computer doesn't recognize the camera or can't read the cards. The pins in my camera and in my card reader are fine, don't broken or something like this, so I don't think so, that this is a pin-problem. I tried to reinstall and back the software, and nothing. When I plug in the card reader with USB cable in my computer, the led light up shortly, but then nothing happen. Anyone know maybe what is the problem? It can be that the new card disordered my system? Thanks for your responses in advance!

Try the card-cardreader on another computer. try another usb slot. unplug other usb connections (mouse, printer etc)
Connect camera to usb Try another cable.
use your logic, perhaps you need a new cardreader.........

Last year I noticed that downloading from my compact flash card to my pc, using a General Electric card reader, started to take longer, and longer, and longer. I had been shooting RAW + JPG, and then I noticed that the JPG files made it over to the PC, but not the RAW.
Finally I bought a new Belkin reader and....voila....problem solved.

Are you using a Sandisk card reader? If yes, I'd call Sandisk customer service.
Extreme Memory cards 1-866-270-5532
Ducati Extreme Memory cards 1-866-744-0472
ExpressCards 1-866-744-1175
If you are not using a Sandisk card reader, I would consider using one.
Although I don't have the 32 GB card, I have had compatability issues with Sandisk and Lexar readers. Over the past year I have been primarily plugging the CF card directly into an HP computer. I have been very satisfied with this method of downloading.
Good luck!!

Try using the USB cable and download straight from your camera.

Hello,
I need some help pease...
I have an old 5D, bought at 2007. Sometimes I use it remotely via eos utility, and without any problems. Now I reinstall my XP, update it and try to install eos utility - it doesn't work. While installing, eos wia rapi driver doesn't want to install. Thinking that the CD is corrupt, I tried to find the driver on the net, but without success. I install the driver for 5D (WIA Driver 5.7.0 for Windows XP) downloaded from official Canon's site, but my PC tells me that cannot find the camera.I see, that the driver on my CD doesn't match with the driver on Canon's site. Where is my mistake? Thank you very much!
