Title: Insects Post by: Mickw on October 28, 2008, 02:27:09 PM Hi all. For some unknown reason im starting to do more Macro shots and i wish to attempt to shoot insects, birds and other wildlife thats with a camera not a gun. Ive never tried this before other than fungus and the occassional bird. My Camera gear is Canon 5D and 400D. Probably Macro 100 or 180 lens
24-105f4 L, 70-200f2.8 is L two extenders 1.4 and 2x and soon to be (probably) 17-40 f4 L. I live near ponds, hills, meadows, pine forests so have ample opportunity for some cool shots. I even live near a bird sanctuary and loads of coastal stuff to. Got the camoflage stuff from army surplus for walking and its cheap and hard wearing. Ill never get to Bobs standard but the odd good shot is worth it. Im used to old buildings, trains etc so this is a bit of a sideways step. You never stop learning this stuff.
