Title: Canon XSI and Canon Kiss 2
Post by: annefil on November 02, 2008, 07:04:31 AM
What is the major difference between the Canon XSI and Kiss 2 besides the manual in Japanese; I can purchase the Kiss 2 for less than the XSI and still get a USA Warrantee?  Please Help

It's the same camera.

You can't get a USA warranty on an imported camera purchased in the USA. The Canon USA warranty is only available on Canon USA goods. However Canon will usually do warranty repairs as long as you have a bill of sale. They aren't obligated to but they do, or at least hat has been their policy in the past.

Unless the saving is significant, I'd buy an XSi. For a few dollars difference, it's worth the security of the USA warranty
