Title: Lens pouch
Post by: KeithB on November 18, 2008, 01:46:35 PM
Anybody have any recommendations for lens pouches or bags?  I currently use the plastic bag the lenses are shipped in inside my case, but I want something with a little more protection.

Take a look at the Zing Lens Pouches (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000F4S9FO/bobatkinsphotogr) (here a link to a larger size (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00009UU2F/bobatkinsphotogr)). They usually get pretty good ratings. I have a few Canon lens pouches that came with various lenses too, but they don't tend to be very well padded so I don't really use them much.

Tnanks Bob, that looks good.  Do you think that the EF70-300 IS (non-DO) will fit into the medium pouch with the rear lens cap on - the specs make it seem pretty tight.

The 70-300IS is 3" x 5.6" and the medium pouch is 4" x 7", so it sounds like it should fit OK

Just for the record, the large pouch is required for the 70-300, unless you like the rear lens cap sticking out.
