Title: New scratch-resistant filters? Post by: deemery on February 18, 2009, 07:37:52 AM This month's issue of "Outdoor Photography" has ads in it from most of the filter makers for new scratch-resistant filters., e.g. Hoya HD, Tiffin HT, etc. Any thoughts (good or bad) on these? In particular, is it worth buying one of these to replace my current lens protector?

I certainly wouldn't replace anything I had. When buying a new filter I'd consider the cost and evaluate whether it was worth a premium for something sold as "scratch resistant"
