Title: If if seems too good to be true, then it probably is
Post by: Blair on May 23, 2009, 02:37:33 PM
I noticed an advertisement on this site for a 5D MK II USA for $1629.00.  The vendor is an outfit called Rogers Camera.  I sure would be interested to know if anyone bites at this, and if so, what the outcome is.  ;D

Scam. I'll be adding them to my ban list here.

Unreasonable  prices, no contact address, appears to be located in Brooklyn (never a good sign). Classic signs of a bait and switch scammer!

I can only ban after I see them on Google Adsense. See http://www.bobatkins.com/photography/photo_stores_2006.html for more info (and more stores to avoid)

If the prices are cheaper than B&H and Adorama, you can bet your bippy that it is definately too good to be true.
