Title: Digital Rebel XS error code 99

Taking some shots last night and got this error code 99. Turned camera off and back on,took a couple more shots and same code,turned camera off took out batt ,replaced. Took a couple more shots and same code only this time would not take any more pics and kept getting the 99. Did a google search and all discussions were saying either lens or batt problem. I have 3 lenses and 2 batts, same thing, error code 99. Well this morning I thought the only thing I did not try was swapping out mem cards,sure enough so far with 2 of my lenses,working perfect.Didnt have time for the 3rd one
So has anyone had this error code and If so could it be the mem card?
I started a repair ticket with Canon, cameras is still under warranty. Should I go ahead and send it in or wait a couple of weeks and see If the mem card had indeed fixed it?

I have learned that this "Error code 99" is a generic number for a multitude of problems. I have sent my XS in for repairs.
Anyone had any experience with Canon service?

I've used Canon Service twice. Very pleased both times.  In addition to correct and fast repairs, both items were cleaned, recalibrated and express shipped for the return back to me.

Well kudos to Canon Services. Sent my XS in and had it back within 10 days all repaired and cleaned. They Fed-Exed it overnight to me.You cant beat that.
