Title: Old copy of Tokina 80-200 f/2.8
Post by: photosbybrian on August 13, 2009, 08:59:28 AM
I ran accross one of these cheap the other day. It's in pretty good shape, but I can't really find any reviews of the older version. This one has the red stripe around the front and from what I've been able to find, the newest version has a glod stripe. I understand that AF / MF is kinda clunky on these but that IQ is pretty good for the price. My son is wanting to shoot his HS football team this fall, and I have to cover other teams for the local paper. He has my old 20D and anything slower than 2.8 is iffy at best with the poor stadium lighting, so I thought this might be an OK starter for him. Any info / links would be appreciated.
