Title: Firmware Revison History Post by: Roxie2401 on November 07, 2009, 07:52:15 AM Is there a location where you can view the firmware revision history on Canon bodies? I know you can find the current firmware and a description at the Canon site, but I'm looking to see what may have been corrected in prior updates.
For example, on the 5D Mk II, did any of the firmware updates address AutoFocus issues, etc. or were the only firmware changes for the "black dot" and now the latest set of issues corrected in version 1.1.0? Similar questions for the firmware revisions on the 40D, 7D, etc. In other words, what has been fixed up to the current revision? Thanks Title: Re: Firmware Revison History Post by: Bob Atkins on November 07, 2009, 10:50:52 AM Try http://web.canon.jp/imaging/eosd-e.html

It looks like when you pull up the current firmware they do have a section that suggests "Are the previous versions of firmware included in this update" and it list what was corrected before. Guess they haven't addressed any AF issues on the 5D Mk II. |
