Title: Macintosh Info
Post by: KeithB on August 10, 2010, 04:17:15 PM
Bob:
Your new article on Backups is pretty PC-Centric.  I know it is your website and all, but could I write a small addendum for options for the Macintosh?

Sure if Macs are significantly different from PCs. I assume you can just add external USB or firewire drives like you can on a PC. Backup software is probably different though. The principle of having two external drives and backing up one to the other (or running them as a RAID sytem) presumably holds.

I could add a "box" with the comments for Mac users.

The hardware is the same, though Mac users can generally count on having FireWire available.

The software is a little different since TimeMachine is an option that allows you to get old versions of files and some other stuff.
