Title: CF CARD WITH 7D
Post by: skwerl52 on October 30, 2010, 06:05:20 PM
What's your take on using a Sandisk 16GB Extreme HD Video SDHC Class 6 High Performance 20MB/s memory card with a 7D camera? Don't want to spend $100 on a card, but don't want nothing cheap either. (Hopefully I didn't contradict myself).
Any and all responses will be greatly appreciated.

I dont think it will be a lot of use since the 7D doesn't take SDHC cards. It requires a CF (CompactFlash) memory card.

The Sandisk 8GB EXTREME SDHC HD Video Card Class 6 - 20MB/s (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B001940S1C/bobatkinsphotogr) would be fine for the EOS 60D and the Rebel series cameras, but not the 7D.

For the 7D you might look at a card like the SanDisk 16GB ULTRA CF Memory Card 30MB/s 200x (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B002TXJUJ8/bobatkinsphotogr) which has a good price/performance ratio.

A more expensive card like the SanDisk 16GB 60MB/s Extreme  (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B002O3MVYO/bobatkinsphotogr) may give you a little faster throughput, but for most users the less expensive 30MB/s card will be just fine
