Title: Depth of field article errors
Post by: privard22 on September 23, 2011, 06:42:21 AM
A very minor, picky thing in the depth of field in depth article (http://www.bobatkins.com/photography/technical/depth_of_field.html).

"So looking at the table for a 24mm and f8 we see the hyperfocal distance is 2.44m...."  The table above this line shows the hyperfocal distance for 24mm and f8 as 2.88 m.  If that is indeed a mistake, the following sentence will also need to be changed accordingly.  If not, the table is wrong.

Thanks for the great site!

Thanks for spotting that. The correct number for the HFD for a 24mm lens at f8 (for full frame with a 25 micron COF) is 2.88m, so I've corrected the text to agree with that.
