digital sharpening post exposure

Hi Bob & everyone,

I love your wildlife shots! How much post exposure sharpening do you normally apply to shots like these? I usually shoot in RAW and use Canon DPP for most post processing and conversion. I seem to be having pretty good result sharpening up about 4-5 steps in RAW, after appyling Noise reduction moderately. I was just curious about digital sharpening in general. Do you have other articles on here about how to get the sharpest images possible without distortion.

Thanks for the help.
