Hi,
my father gave me a set of FD lenses: FD 28mm 1.8, FD 35-105mm 3.5-4.5, FD 50mm 1.8, FD 35mm 2.8, FD 135mm 2.8 and a Vivitar lens 75-205mm 3.8-4.5.
I have an EOS body and am wondering whether it's worth buying an FD adapter for these lenses. I have read Bob's review on these adapters, but I would like to know whether anyone has any experience with the (I assume) newer type of adapters that contain a chip to tell the body that the lens is in manual mode. This presumably gives then better information in the viewfinder. But are the optics any better than all the other adapters that can be found? These new ones can be found on ebay but also for instance on
http://www.rugift.com/photocameras/canon-fd-eos-af-adapter.htm. They claim to have a larger lens, allowing more light to pass.
thanks in advance
Patrick
