I am looking for a reasonably priced LCD hood/viewfinder for my T2i. All of the ones I see require a metal frame to be glued to the back of the camera. I don't like stick on items as I live in Florida and nothing really sticks for very long due to the humid conditions. Does anyone here know if such an item exists?

It's a bit ugly and rather large, but I have a "video hood" for my 7D. It's a metal frame again, but it attaches to the camera via the tripod socket. The actual hood then clips on and is held in place by strong magnets. It was sold as a device for use when shooting video, but it would also be fine for Live View still shooting of course. Here's an example - EzFoto LCD ViewFinder ExtenderYou can also try looking for similar items on eBayJust note that the focus (at least on the one I have) isn't adjustable. I wear reading glasses for close viewing and I still needed them on with the LCD magnifier. I eventually modified it with an extra lens so I could use it without glasses but that was some work. I don't know if any of these devices have adjustable focus. Just don't assume that they do.

Thanks that is what I am looking for. In fact, I have seen that one but it will not work on the Canon T2i as its bracket does not line up the the LCD panel. There are quite a few of these around and all but the Hoodman Loupe require you to use double stick tape on your camera. (The Hoodman used either rubber bands or a crane-like device on the hot shoe.) I turn over my camera bodies every two years selling them to purchase a newer model. and try to maintain a near perfect cosmetic appearance. I will find something and post it here when I do. I am left-eyed and using this makes taking photos much easier for me and you won't believe how much more you can see using the LCD as a viewfinder.

I bought one that was designed for the 60D, but it fits my 7D pretty well. Doesn't line up with the LCD perfectly, but it covers at least 90% of it just fine and it does the job I need it to do. It also covers my 40D LCD pretty well, though it's less useful on the 40D since there's no Live View.
I don't know if one designed for the T3i would fit the T2i well enough to be usable, but I suspect it might.

I have a home-made version based on a Mamiya 6x7 medium format camera viewfinder magnifier that I bought used for viewing MF negatives on a light box years ago. The magnifier focuses and I made a simple angle bracket that is attached to an adjustable flash shoe (that rotates on only one axis) and slides into the hot shoe of my 5dii, thus is able to be flipped up and out of the way when not in use or easily dismounted altogether.
When used with LCD magnification of 5x it's amazing how much detail you can pull out of a subject for perfect focus.
