can my lens be serviced?
« on: May 27, 2009, 10:26:54 PM »

Hi. Have a 28-135 IS on a 40d. Its not calibrated well. Not as sharp as my nikon 8800. Can it be serviced? will it be expensive?

Yes, it can be serviced, though I'd make sure the lens was really the problem. You may need to tweak the camera settings for color and sharpness for example. DSLRs often don't apply as much processing to the image as P&S cameras with smaller sensors do, so that you have more room to do your own processing to your own taste.
