I believe a 16GB card should be OK, but I've not used one myself. I do use a SanDisk Ultra III 8GB card in my 5D and I've had no problems. The 5D (original, MkI) doesn't have UDMA support and won't be able to take advantage of ultra fast cards, so there's no real need to pay extra for "state of the art" CF cards

Hi Susy,
even if your camera does support large capacity cards, I would still recommend getting smaller cards. Surely they fill up quickly and you will have to live with the hassle of carrying a few around and changing them constantly, but the advantage is that should one card go bad, you will lose fewer pictures than you would with larger capacity card

I see the question is really for the 5DMk2. For my 5DMk2 I have a 16 GB Transcend 300x UMDA card and it works fine.
