The new Canon EOS Rebel T6 replaces the Rebel T5 in Canon's entry level DSLR lineup. It's the "budget" version of the Rebel T6i and T6s (seeT6i and T63 preview.
The T6 is a fairly minor upgrade of the T5. It's a little faster since it uses a DIGIC 4+ processor in place of the DIGIC 4 processor of the T6. The T6 has a better, higher resolution LCD (920,000 dots vs 460,000 dots). Both the T6 and T5 LCD are 3". The T6 adds WiFi and MFC while the T5 had neither. There's a new auto White Balance mode on the T6 which gives more neutral colors in tungsten light and the T6 also offers a new scene mode for food(!). That's about it. The image sensor remains 18MP, the 9 zone AF system is unchanges, and basically all the exposure modes and Video capabilities are the same. ISO remains 100-6400 with the option of expansion to 12800.
The new Canon EOS Rebel T6 was introduced at $549.99 bundled with the EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS II, but the price as of mid-2017 is around $449 sand it's available from Adorama (with free shipping). Check current pricing via the link below:
