| Comments | Canon's longest (and most expensive) telephoto lens in regular production (the 1200/5.6L is special order only). A very nice lens, though you can get to this focal length cheaper with an EF 600/4L + 1.4xTC, a combination that some prefer since 800mm is not always needed and 600mm at f4 may be more generally useful. However for the fastest possible focus and the ultimate in shapness at long focal lengths, the 800mm prime would be the lens of choice. |
