| Comments | The kit lens often sold with EOS Digital Rebel bodies. All plastic construction, including lens mout, but actually not a bad lens. The image stabilization is very effective, it has an aspaheric element to improve image quality and as part if a kit it's often sold at a bargain price (around $100). The optics, while not great, are certainly quite usable, especially if the lens is stopped down a stop or so. The maximum magnification of 0.34x (1/3 life size) is also quite useful for semi-macro work and is higher than that of most similar zooms. |
