Computer systems and peripherals
Though this is a photography website, today computers and their associated systems and peripherals are as important to many photographers as their cameras and lenses.
Though I've been involved with computers since the days of IBM 360 mainframes (please don't ask how long ago that was), through the PC kits that predated the Apple, through the Apple ][ and on to the current Wintel machines, I'm no systems expert. I get just as frustrated with PCs as you do!
I do research my own purchases pretty carefully, whether the PC itself, disk drives, network adapters or other peripherals, so I thought it might be useful if I passed along my own experience with various products that I've found useful and which I think represent good value.
